Well, the results of the Oscars were all in last night and I'm sure most everyone's heard who won what already. If you haven't, here's a list of all the winners for this year from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Site:

77th Academy Awards Results

What was or would have been your pick for best picture of 2004 and were there any other awards that you have something to comment about?

I couldn't argue with all the awards that Million Dollar Baby won. I thought that was the hands down best movie of last year to me. I'm disappointed that Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind didn't at least get more nominations for awards.

The funny thing is that had Eternal Sunshine been shut out, I wouldn't have complained because it feels like it got released a long time ago to me. I forgot it was an '04 film. Jim Carrey was pretty awesome in a un-Carrey-like role.

I guess '04 was a tough luck year for people named Kerry[sic]. Hmm... cussing.gif

Of the contenders, my fav was million dollar baby (course, the only other movie I saw on that list was sideways), but I really luuuuuved Eternal Sunshine. I thought that that movie made some great commentary on relationships, love, memories, etc... I've never been a huge Carrey fan, but he didn't do a bad job at all standing with Kate Winslet.
