The More or Less Official Book Selection Line-Up

(As if the Social Wave Book Club could ever be said to have anything formal or official...) It's become clear that, as our book club gently grows in size (hooray!), it's getting more difficult to keep track of whose turn it is to pick the next book.

(For the uninitiated, the longstanding club policy is to rotate book selection throughout our membership. The only requirement is that the book be available in the San Jose Public Library system.)

I've gone through our past meetings and figured out our line of succession (much like royalty, but less hierarchical). In future, we'll keep to this queue and I'll send e-mail reminders out to "the next in line" a couple weeks in advance so you have time to think about your selection.

So, without further ado, here's our "line of succession" for book selection:

Larry
Miki
Mary
Cindy
Brian
Sarah
Sigrid

Hmm; looks like I'm gonna have to scramble to find something. Our son, Rob, sent a suggestion so I'll check that first.

Hi Larry!

Actually, you chose the Tropper book a couple meetings ago. Then the queue was interrupted for Brian's Grisham. Now we're reading Miki's selection.

All that means that it's my turn to pick the next book, so I'm the one who has to be scrambling to find something.

Ah, the pressure's off.

Will still "hip pocket" our son's recommendation.
