Events: Personalization for Featured Events and Sidebar

The number of events showing up on Social Wave has grown quickly and the "featured events" methodology in which a Social Wave admin hand picks a series of events to show up on everyone's side bar is already out of date. This was originally done to control the possibility that we would end up with a lot of commercial posts that would end up in the sidebar.

That possibility still needs to be accounted for, but we also need to address a way to make the sidebar more personally relevant to what indivudals want to see. Group membership should play a large role in what events and messages that people see in their sidebar. Until we find a way of making it attractive for people to slip straight into their Social Wave groups or make better use of other main pages of the site, the sidebar is by most practical means, the table of contents of the site for most users.
