Review Title: Rosy's Fish City! · Overall Score: 8 (Overall Satisfaction: 8, Value: 10, Quality of Food: 8, Quality of Service: 8)

My Opinion:
Rosy’s Fish Market… one word… yum!

In not the best of locations, Rosy’s is the kind of place that you would drive by and never notice… and if by chance you did, you’d never go inside there on your on volition! Thank goodness we had heard a recommendation, or else we’d never know about this restaurant!

Upon entering, I was surprised how clean the restaurant was. All of their fish is on display, but yet, there is no fishy smell! The chefs cook in full view of the patrons, which is an added bonus. I cannot express how clean Rosy’s is! They also have a small bar there that seats about 5 people, and serves beer and wine. But the main reason for going there is the food!

Their menu has everything fish you could imagine and some things you couldn’t! They have about 10 appetizers on the menu. I recommend the Mexican Seafood Cocktail if you are into the spicy stuff! They also offer oyster shooters, oysters Rockefeller, ceviche, fried clam, calamari, prawns, seafood nachos or a combo platter. Appetizer prices range from $1.50 to $10.00, the average price being about 6 bucks.

Dinner choices include salads, sandwiches, pasta, items from the grill and/or fryer and best of all are their specialties. Specialties (about 20 of them) include Snapper Veracruz, Scampi, Shrimp Royal, Scallops, Sole stuffed with Crab, Calamari, Cioppino, Chicken, Steak & Prawns and Lobster tail! Prices average $12.00 and dinners include soup/salad, rice or pasta, vegetables and garlic bread! You will not go away hungry here. Portions are big!

Be sure to check the daily specials on the chalk board – seafood tostadas - $3.50!

They use red snapper in their fish & chips and also offer fried catfish and hushpuppies!

Long story short. The place is clean. Beautiful menu with a Mexican influence. Fish is fresh, portions large. Service is VERY Friendly!

Oh… and on a final note, the other day, I had the tuna melt. What a surprise. It’s not canned tuna, but fresh tuna, cooked, and made into tuna salad! YUM!

Other items I’ve tried and loved… Grilled halibut and swordfish, deep fried prawns (so many I couldn’t finish them all), sole cilantro, onion rings (home made!) and fish tacos.

If you like fish, this will be a great place for you to try. I guarantee you will return!
