Subject: Another plee for assistance-We got this email the other day
Hi Rescuers,
I have an unusual request coming from a cat rescuer, but I thought
I'd give it a try...
Today I went to drop off six little ones for spay/neuter surgery and
FeLv testing and was led to the back room where the kennels are...
There were two BEAUTIFUL Standard Poodles who had been brought in
because their owner had died...
If I did not live in a second story apartment and work 8+ hours a
day, they would have gone home with me permanently. I, however, as a
rescuer am luckily able to determine that I could not give them the
life they deserve no matter how much I wanted them NOW!
They are white, well-taken care of, healthy, happy, friendly, sweet,
and trained (sit, shake, gentle, down...). They are also fine with
cats and other dogs.
Their names are Edward (mal! e -- 8 years young) and Bailey (female -
- 3 years old). They are spay/neutered and microchipped and (I
believe) up to date on all vaccinations.
We are trying to determine whether jurisdiction belongs to (the now
defunct) Nor Cal Poodle Rescue or Bay Area Poodle Rescue and we hope
that can be worked out soon, but neither has any fosters in the East
Bay Area. I have been in contact with Bay Area Poodle Rescue and
have offered my help to them to try to find at least a temporary
foster home.
They are, of course, looking for a permanent home. But, we would
like to get them into a foster home as soon as possible. Even a
temporary situation would be awesome for this sweet pair as they are
in a tiny kennel at the vet's office and need more room to stretch
their legs.
If you are not familiar with the breed, they are SMART and do not
shed and would love to find a temporary fa! mily to love them while
they search for a more permanent situation.
If you think you can help, please let me know. Feel free to
crosspost but it would probably be best, for now, to keep them in
the East Bay Area.
Thanks for all of your help.
