My Opinion: Beyond the fact that this is my favorite place in the South Bay to find a good cup of coffee or espresso, Barefoot Coffee Roasters provides a great atmosphere for small progressive groups and community discussions to take place- many an afternoon has passed when I've walked into local meetings of peace activists
This area sorely needs more spaces that are community-friendly and not solely designed to accommodate simple commerce, but Barefoot is a small oasis. The inside of the shop is a quirky mix of art chairs, while pieces by local artists continually adorn the walls. Some other items worth mention include the chalkboard bathroom, allowing all visitors to leave their wisdom of the day, and the shop's dedication to selling only fair-trade coffee.
