Foster Grandparent Program Needs Volunteers

Catholic Charities' Foster Grandparent Program is looking for persons over 60 to participate in their program. Participants must be in good health and able to work 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. Participants receive a small non-taxable stipend and other benefits.

I read about this program needing volunteers. It calls for people 60 and over. That is too bad, I feel there are many younger people (55+) who can also work this program. Oh, well?. Just a suggestion.

Hmmmm...Delia, that's a really great idea. Why don't you call Teresa Wong and suggest that to her? I doubt she'll be checking out our site, since this post came from the Campbell Express newspaper. I bet they'd love to have people 55+ help out - what's 5 years, anyway?
