Street: 55 Hawthorne · City: San Francisco · Phone: 1-800-300-kfog ·
Description: Classic rock played daily. 10 great tunes from one great year played at 10 am and again at 10 pm. Acoustic sunrise on sunday mornings. Live performances, new releases and
more!
Review Title: KFOG · Overall Score: 10
My Opinion: I have listened to KFOG since 1983. They turned to rock in 1982 when the DJ played the Stray Cats, instead of elevator music. They recieved MANY calls that day and the rest is history. They have sent me on trips, to concerts, to movies and more. They really now how to take care of their fans.

KFOG recently went through an ownership change didn't it? I take it that it survived that change pretty well?

It seems to have survived the ownership change very well so far. I'm also a big fan of KFOG - I listen to it primarily in the car when I'm driving. I think that, if they're smart, the new owners will realize that part of KFOG's success is due to its identity as an independently-minded, community-oriented radio station.

Yes they have new owners.......but all has gone smooth, at least on the listeners end. I will admit it, I am an offical foghead and have turned my husband into one also. 3 more weeks until the KFOG KABOOM!!

I got to go to Great America for free a few years ago courtesy of KFOG. A friend of a friend won tix for 4 people. I hear she wins a lot of prizes from KFOG. I enter some of their online contests but have yet to win anything. I don't listen or enter that often. Sometimes they play stuff I like and sometimes they don't. But I do appreciate that they are the only Bay Area station to play any songs off Moby's last album, "Hotel".

I'm a huge fan of Dave Morey and the KFOG morning peeps. I listen to them most mornings and enjoy the intelligent conversation (and debates) along with their music. 10 at 10--I try not to miss it unless it's from 1969 or earlier. Beatles (yea!)
