Review: The Break-Up(Movies)
Posted: Jun 19 2006, 07:49 AM
Reviewed: The Break-Up
Starring: Vince Vaughn, Jennifer Aniston · Rating: PG-13 · Year: 2006 ·
Description: What follows is a series of remedies, war tactics, overtures and underminings suggested by the former couple's friends, confidantes and the occasional total stranger. When neither ex is willing to move out of the condo they used to share, the only solution is to continue living as hostile roommates until somebody caves. But somewhere between protesting the pool table in the living room, the dirty clothes stacked in the kitchen cupboards and the sports played at sleep-killing volume in the middle of the night, Brooke begins to realize that what she may be really fighting for isn't so much the place but the person.
Review Title: Real issues · Overall Score: 6
(Overall Rating: 6, Casting / Acting: 6, Story: 8, )
My Opinion:
This movie had so so reviews from some of the critics but I do not really listen to critics half or most of the time. I thought this movie as funny half way through and then it got pretty serious towards the end. The thing I really liked about this movie is that it really showed the real issues couples have and that was great because most of the time you see the hollywood version.
Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn were great together. The other characters were good as well.
I would suggest seeing this as a matinee. I give it a C+ or B-.
