How's Your Cell Phone Service?
Posted on Aug 8 2006, 07:41 AM
I just changed my cell phone service this past weekend and it made me realize that all of our reviews of cell phone providers are outdated. Let's get some fresh reviews in there. Please take a minute to go rate your cell phone service in the Reviews and Opinions area. If you're short on words, or you don't feel like writing much, you can now submit a rating without writing a review.
If you do write a review, please provide as many helpful details as you can. You can include things like the approximate area where you use your phone the most and your experiences with their customer service. If you need a little bonus, everyone who writes a review that passes muster (meaning that it looks like you made some effort) will get their accounts upgraded for a month.
Rate Your Cell Phone Service
BTW, if you already have a review, you can click the edit button and change it or you can send a message to one of the admins to have it deleted.

I have Cingular and am pretty happy.
My reception was weak in some areas -- but when I purchased a new phone the reception improvement was remarkable! My son has Cingular -- and Cingular sent a new SIM card for his phone, and with the new chip his reception really improved.
I have the SLVR phone, and the design is pretty cool.

My service is okay. Sometimes it's hard to hear people or the reception is bad. But I don't use my cell phone that often so it's been good enough for what I need it for. I mainly use it for emergencies and personal calls. I like to separate my work and personal calls and email accounts. I have an old phone.

The phone that you have can make a big difference in your call quality. I might have gotten better call quality with my Cingular account had I changed phones, but I had a Nokia phone that worked mostly fine while I was signed up with AT&T before Cingular bought them out. Once my phone started reading "Cingular" when I turned it on, service started to go bad at home.

Special Promotion Until 12/31/06
If you are thinking of joining sprint or have joined within the last
fifteen days, I can get you a $25 visa gift card if you contact me.
You have to contact me within the 15 days of activation. Good until
12/31/06. Make your best deal with sprint and I will get you
additional $25.
I have had them all and Sprint and verizon cover the best. Cingular still doesn't work in my house and I am in the city. The best deal for heavy users is Sprint's "fair and flexible" which charges $49/800 minutes but only $5/ea 100 minutes over. I share minutes with my workers (2nd phone free and others $20/ea) and don't have to worry as I only pay $5/100 minutes when I go over. Almost never do as they have early free evenings too, 7pm to 7 am. To get same minutes from Verizon is $20 more. I always get my phones for free. Camera, radio, base stand, internet able, etc....
