Jazz Concert Fundraiser for Recreation Plus (public event)

The New York-based Jazz for Peace ensemble, featuring internationally acclaimed jazz pianist, vocalist, and composer Rick DellaRatta, will perform a benefit concert to raise funds for Recreation Plus/Foothill College Women’s Basketball Foundation, assisting them in continuing education through athletics.  The concert will be presented at Smithwick Theatre, Foothill College, in Los Altos.

Recreation Plus is a non-profit organization based in Silicon Valley that provides low-to-no cost instruction to students of all ages.  Through the women's basketball program, young women are encouraged to pursue higher education, refining their athletic talent in order to pursue athletic scholarships, enabling them to attend colleges and universities.  For more information on Recreation Plus and its programs, please visit: http://recreationplus.org
