Posted: Oct 3 2006, 08:19 AM
Reviewed: Mama Mia's Ristorante Italiano
Street: 200 E. Hamilton Ave. · City: Campbell · Phone: 408-379-3333 · Type of Cusine: Italian ·
Description: Traditional, Elegant, and Fantastic Food Mama Mia's authentic Ristorante Italiano draws its superb menu from traditional mother country dishes with exquisite pasta, poultry, veal, fresh seafood and wonderful hand-tossed pizzas to tempt and delight you and your family.
Review Title: The Tortellini Alfredo with Chicken Rocks!
My Rating: Thumbs Up!
My Opinion: I've made it to Mama Mia's twice, and both times I had the same dish because I liked it so much. I had a great experience both times. The chicken was perfectly seared so that it had a lot of texture without being crunchy and was absolutely delicious topped with their afredo sauce.
They did a phone cards for troops benefit last night in which they donated 20% of your bill to buy phone cards for service men and women serving in the Middle East. A number of us from Social Wave went to support the benefit and to enjoy a very very nice meal.
It's a little on the pricey end, but it's worth it and their support of community causes have earned them Business of the Year honors from the Campbell Chamber of Commerce in 2005.

Review Title: Off the subject of food
My Rating: Thumbs Up!
My Opinion: As far as I'm concerned, the food at Mama Mia's is a "given". I've never had anything I didn't enjoy....PLUS owner Frank Leamy is heavy into community support. On Monday, October 16, he'll again be donating 20% of his proceeds to a worthy cause---this time, the Country Woman's Club of Campbell's endowment fund, that each year contributes around $4000 to a scholarship program for students in the Campbell Union High School District! So if you missed yesterday's fundraiser, here's a chance for your to sample their delicious food, as well as support a very deserving cause.
