Group Trip to a Sharks Game? (Season 2006-07)
Posted: Oct 5 2006, 08:02 AM
I've been hoping to get a group together to goto a Sharks game for about two years, but that plan just seems to run away from me each year before I can do anything. Since it's the season opener for the Sharks tonight, I figure it's a good time to finally get an early jump on this.
Groups tickets are discounted and groups have a number of options on where they can all sit together. To keep this affordable to the most number of people, we'd most likely go for either the $16 or $26 upper reserved seats (normally $18 and $29). I've sat in both of those areas before with past groups a friend organized and the view's not bad even up there. I personally don't think there's a bad seat in the house at the Shark Tank.
I don't have a particular game or even a date range that I'm shooting for at this point. I'm just shopping around to see what kind of interest we have. Group tickets start with 25 tickets, so I'm looking for 15 people who are definitely interested before I start to work on specifics. This group trip can happen anytime between this month and the end of the season, so if a Social Wave group at a Sharks game is something you'd like, peep up here with the number of people you'd expect to have and I'll work it from there.

Funny you should ask since I went to the opening game last night, which was great! So, yes, I would be interested. Possibly my husband as well.

You a hockey fan at all, Tammy, or did you just somehow end up at the game?

Just wound up there. Have a friend who works for HP and she got some tickets. Somehow I've always managed to go to a hockey game for free.
I wouldn't call myself a hockey fan, but I do enjoy going when I can. They're so much fun. There's so much energy and excitement. I don't know much about the game, and yet it's still enjoyable that way. Just think how much more enlightening it would be if I understood all the rules!
Plus, it's local, and that's a real plus. I took lightrail from work here in Sunnyvale, and it drops you right there by the Tank.

Sheldon, count me in for sure! I'll be a fanatic again come springtime after football's over!

My husband and I have a shark pack this year. I got to see them wail on Calgary in the preseason, lol.
We might be interested, depending on which game (bec. we may already be going).

Well, this isn't the group trip, I'd like to arrange, but if anyone wants to head over to the Tank for the Family Pack games on Feb. 3rd against the Chicago Blackhawks let me know. I'm going to head down to the Tank to avoid Ticketrobber fees... er I mean Ticketmaster.

Hey everyone. I should have posted this sooner, but I was way too wrapped up with stuff around the holidays and we were getting people signing up anyway. If anyone's still interested in joining in on a Social Wave group trip, I still have two tickets left out of a block of 25 I purchased for the game vs. Dallas on Jan 17th.
If you want to join in and pick up the last two tickets, just go here:
