Description: Online Retailer and Walk-in Retailer specializing in Apple products and products for Mac owners. New, used, and refurbished Apple gear of all kinds available.
Review Title: Trade in your old Mac and get a deal on a new one.
My Rating: Thumbs Up!
My Opinion: PowerMax is an Apple retailer in Oregon that also runs a great online store. The thing that makes them different from your usual Apple retailer is that they carry a healthy line of used, refurbished, and open box Macs in addition to the standard Apple product lineup.

I just placed my third order for a Mac from them and for the third time, I'm trading in my old machine for cash toward my new purchase. My old Powerbook G4 867 has gotten really long in the tooth and has been acting up lately with the type of software that I run on it, so it was time to upgrade. I was quoted around $500 trade-in for the machine. It's beat-up, so I may not get the full value, but in the past I've gotten $500-$650 for old desktops and felt they were honest (and even generous) in their trade-in evaluations.

Whatever I end up getting for my trade-in this time, it adds up to a pretty big discount when added to the $400 I saved on a refurbished version of a current MacBook Pro.
