Review Title: Superb Way to Enjoy Great Folk/Acoustic Music Live
My Rating: Thumbs Up!
My Opinion: Bev Barnett and Greg Newlon's TrueWind Music Concert Series has been around for a few years putting on top notch local and touring folk/acoustic music talent, but ever since the home base for their music series closed, they've modified TrueWind's format for the ultimate small venue: house concerts. If you're not familiar with house concerts, they're excactly as the name suggests. TrueWind's concerts are held in the living room of Bev and Greg's home in Campbell with seating for up to 40 people.

Besides having high quality acts scheduled for their series, the series is a winner because the listening experience is superb. I was there this weekend for BlahBlahWoofWoof (Chuck McCabe, Jay Howlett, Steve Kritzer) and they sounded great in the living room. Everyone there was there to enjoy the music, so you don't deal with the usual annoyances of live music such as bozos having extended conversations on their cell phones, slamming doors, or the espresso machine adding to the soundtrack.

While there's no espresso machine going off, they do serve coffee, drinks, and desserts at the break in the middle so if acoustic music isn't the same for you without the baked goods and a cup of joe, no need to worry.
