I'm not much of a football fan these days, but the storylines of the Conference Championship games this year was intriguing enough that I listed to the games on radio. I really wanted to see New Orleans make it to the big game. There appeared to be a gutsy comeback in the works for a bit, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. I wanted to see Peyton Manning and Tony Dungy finally get there too. I got one of my wishes.

So it's Da Bears vs. The Colts. Who'll win Superbowl XLI?

I am not a big professional football fan but I have always like the Chicago Bears, I guess it is because they were a great team in the 80's. Who could forget Sweetness (Payton), The Refrigerator Perry, Ditka, Singletary, and McMahon. I know it has been a long time coming for the Colts as well but I cannot help but think how much the Bears of struggled as well. It should be a good game to watch.

Man, this is why I wanted to see New Orleans in the SB:

QUOTE
"I'm going to the airport," he announced. "They brought hope to this city when nobody else could. The mayor sucks. The governor sucks. The legislature sucks. The president sucks. The only thing that doesn't suck is that team. They brought hope to this city, and I'm going to the airport."

They had a spontaneous victory parade of sorts to welcome back their team even though they lost. Anywhere else, there'd be 10 people at the airport to greet the team.

At least we are getting someone different. Tired of seeing New England (3 rings in five years? ), Tom Brady and Billichek being heralded as the second coming of Joe Montana, Walsh and the 49ers. We will get some new blood. New coaches (dungy deserves a chance at least), and some question marks: Colts defense, Rex Grossman's abilities and Tony /lovie in big games. I still wish either my 49ers or Raiders could be there but they aren't worthy yet. I don't care who wins but it will be entertaining.
