Program Director in Campbell, CA
Recreation Plus is seeking volunteers for its Reading For Science Program. This program is offered to schools in our community for free. It is designed to reward those students who increase their reading level by any amount by allowing them to take part in a science class. The science class offers free kits from Agilent Technologies and range from inspecting owl pellets to building periscopes and electrical devices. This program is being initiated at Anderson Village Elementary on March 2nd, 2007 and will service almost 60 kids. We need help to guide the students with the instructions for these kits. This is a great opportunity to be a positive influence in a childs life. We are also looking for lunchtime mentors just to hang out with kids at lunch time. For more information please contact Recreation Plus at info@recreationplus.org or 408 879 - 0393.
