Rash of purse, wallet thefts reported at Campbell stores

This is a good reminder to be vigilant about not leaving your wallets and purses unattended, no matter where you are. A recent Mercury News article states that "Since October, more than 20 purses and wallets have been reported stolen by shoppers at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods Market on South Bascom Avenue in Campbell, according to police."

There's been a bit of a crime wave going on over there recently. Apparently a few weeks ago someone went through a lot of the shops starting in Downtown Campbell with bogus $100 Visa travelers checks and redeemed them from one end on toward the Pruneyard... not sure if they hit anyone at the Pruneyard though.
