One week until baseball season starts and two weeks until the Giants have their home opener. With all the trades and the new people, this season should be interesting for the West.

I think it's gonna be a very interesting baseball season period. Free agency may not have been as wild this past winter as in years past, but some really big iron switched hands. Who would've counted on Anaheim getting Vladimir Guerro or A-Rod ending up as a Yankee or Shilling going to Boston?

Now speaking of the Yanks and the BoSox, I predict that one of them will turn into the New York Mets and waste their talent away. I hope it's the Yankees. Now, unlike the NY Mets, it won't be a case of a team that has fatal flaws that gets revealed too late, but a case of bad luck compounded by pressure and panic. Both of those clubhouses have been messing with their chemistry way too much and sooner or later it's gotta come back and bite one of them in a New York Rangers kind of way.

I cannot wait until inter-league time. The Giants will be playing the Red Sox for the first time. This should be an awesome game to see.

The Giants played the Yankees last year but it was in New York. I wish they would bring that game here. It would definately sell out.

Ok so the Giants are not having a great start. Barry is hitting homers left and right. Still they cannot win. This is why I do not get into baseball until August because there are so many games and teams to keep track of.

Red Sox vs. Giants

For the first time in their history, the Sox will play against the Giants in the regular season. They will start a three-game series at scenic Pacific Bell Park on June 18.

Giants are not doing well. I do not think they will make the playoffs. They play San Diego Today, tomorrow, and Thursday. Then they play Los Angeles over the weekend. If they do not make it in the playoffs I will be ruiting for another underdog-the Red Sox. If they do not make it then baseball season is over for me.

13 days until opening day. Since, there is some uncertainty whether Bonds will be able to play, I wonder with the aging line up how the Giants will do this season.

Everybody looks bad in Kruegergate

I love listening to the games on KNBR and I have a friend that works for the radio station as well. So, when I heard that Krueger was fired I was totally stunned. I did not know the whole details of what he said before I read all the articles.

I didn't hear the comments directly, but I did read about the controversy around it. Was what he said in the total context of how he said it really that bad? From the transcript that I read, the comments certainly were in poor taste and offensive, but I didn't get the sense that they were overtly racist.
