As you probably know, the San Jose Sharks won their first round rematch with the Nashville Predators last night 3 to 2 in Nashville last night. This means that they're going to a second round, but the opponent and the dates that the games will be played are still TBA dependent up on the results of other first round series still going on.

As much as I love hockey, I've completely struck out in attempts to getting playoff hockey tickets. Anyone have any tips on how to improve your chances of getting tickets? I usually try to get them online via Ticketmaster, but that has not panned out for me in a few years. I'm considering an early trip down to the box office at the Tank early on Tuesday morning to get a wrist band.

Anyone have any experiece with the wrist band experience? I've never tried going that way before. Are your chances any better or worse?

BTW, tickets go on sale at 10am on Tuesday morning. Go Sharks!

GEEZ! TicketMaster appears to have faster servers than they used to. I was able to get on right away and enter my request for 2 tickets. Less than a minute had elapsed by the time I entered in my confirmation code and the request was officially sent through. No 2 seats were together after a minute. I tried looking for 1 ticket and found some single $120 tickets.

They lowered then number of tickets you can pick up at one time from 4 to 2. I guess part of the reason may be because they didn't have a lot of seats together left together to begin with.

I also got some naughty message for having two browser windows open one time out of 30 some tries. That was a first for me. Does TicketMaster send you to the back of the line each time you spawn a new browser window to look while another search is in process?

I have a friend of a friend that lives in the Bay Area that sells tickets for a living. He does not rip people off like some of those ticket brokers you hear about. I have used him before and he usually has good seats. Ticketmaster is a rip off and I have not stood in line at the tank yet.
