Hello Sheldon,

I was hoping you could add a few things to the functionality of SocialWave. One is to accept images in .pdf format. I think it would help the technology-challenged among us. I'm not sure if the sizing would be right, though. For instance, I want to post posters that we've done for various events, and I did have my husband convert one to .jpg, but the printing was so small that it didn't work. Anyway, if there is another solution other than .pdf, I'm all for it!

Relatedly, when I first posted something last year at about this time, I uploaded an image of a Ram's head, but now I don't see it among "My Images." There is also a nice Willow branch on my latest post, and I frankly don't know where it came from. I think a Tech Support fairy has been helping me in the background, and I really appreciate it. If I could have both the Ram and the Willow branch in "My Images," it would be dandy. And it seems like some more school-related stock images would be good to have, too.

Thanks, Sheldon!!

Hi Kim,

Those tech support faries are me and Mary. wink.gif We regularly go around enhancing events as we're able, especially if they're going to go on one of the two Downtown sites. I've added the leaf and the Ram to your image library so they show up as options for you all the time now.

I do plan on enhancing the image libraries sometime in the coming months. I can't make any promises on when that might be, but I'm hoping I can do something before the end of the year.

Usability is always an important thing for a site like this and I'm constantly trying to find ways of making things simpler without sacrificing on functionality. That's a tall order for a part time staff of 2 people so we really appreciate any feedback we can get.

I do intend to add some .PDF support in the near future, but we might only be able to allow you to attach PDFs as attachments to events. It'll be hard to display PDFs directly online since PDFs aren't a web friendly format and converting PDFs to images will create giant images that will take a while to download.

Thanks again for the input!

Sheldon
