Cantabile Chorale Holiday Concert (public event)

Join Cantabile Chorale and special guest artists The Menlo Brass Quintet and T. Paul Rosas, organ, as we initiate the holiday season.
Shimmering brass and rich organ accompany 40 Cantabile Chorale voices in an array of familiar Christmas anthems. The spotlight moves in turn from favorites by Renaissance Masters Palestrina, Schütz and Praetorius to classic French carols and Regina Caeli by Jonathan Willcocks.
Then on to contemporary works by our three local composers and performers. T. Paul Rosas performs his solo organ work, Festive Gigue. The Chorale sings Hodie Christus Natus Est and O Magnum Mysterium by Sanford Dole, Cantabile Artistic Director, and Five Medieval Carols by French horn player Brian Holmes of the Menlo Brass Quintet. We cap this festive program with Daniel Pinkham’s rollicking Christmas Cantata!
