What Summer Movies Are You Looking Forward To?

There's a bunch of great movies already coming out now and planned for release this summer. Are there some that you're looking forward to? If there's something you really want to see, please post a message and let me know so I can take it into consideration for selecting Movie Club films.

Previously, we've voted monthly on all newer releases and let the winner be the official selection, but the voting process hasn't worked out well. It may work better when we have more people, but for now I'm going back to picking all the movies based on feedback and requests.

So, what flicks would be your picks? Harry Potter? Spider Man? Life of Brian 2004?

I would like to see the following at some point this summer:

Spiderman 2
The Terminal
The Stepford Wives
Word Wars
I, Robot
Fahrenheit 9/11
Saved!
Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story

Ok there are too many to name right now.

Here's a list of movies I'm interested in that will be airing in the next month or so:

Fahrenheit 9/11
Napoleon Dynamite
Spiderman 2
Harry Potter 3 (it's getting good reviews! really!)
Maria Full of Grace

But really, I'm game for just about anything as long as it's not gorey.

Depends on the day in Campbell, CA
I definitely would like to see the following movies in the theater:
Spiderman 2
Harry Potter 3

with maybes on:
Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (seems like a good airplane flight movie... or if you're 'in the mood')
I, Robot (Wasn't this a 5 minute clip in Martix 3?)

And... well.. uh.. since I missed the last movie showing since I was still in NY, I would like to see Shrek 2.

HARRY POTTER!!!
(Which I of course have not seen yet....shame on me!)

Spiderman 2
(I just watched the first one again and I have to say that I am now pretty psyched about seeing the second one!)

Shrek 2 just looks like a great flick. Eddie Murphy rocks!

I have to laugh though because I rarely get to see movies when they first come out. So, I am hoping for a long plane ride to VA sometime soon - I will get to see two first run movies that way!)

I definitely want to see this one. We're gonna throw out a date to go see this as a group together soon. Mary and I are thinking of showing the first one at my house the week before we go for anyone who hasn't seen the first one. They really did a great job of staying true to the original comic book story line.

Shrek II was awesome. It was almost two hours of subtle and not so subtle spoofs of Gen X culture far and wide. In the first five minutes of the movie, Fiona does a couple of moves from the old Street Fighter II video game... Aaaah, right after that I knew that the spoof watch was on!

Sign up in the movies club area, Kathleen. We're gonna really get this thing going soon and we'll just start throwing out movies more frequently. Just click "Join Group" at the Movies club group.

Yessiree! We ARE getting things going with the movies club! There's way too much good stuff out there right now to ignore. There's going to be a showing of Spiderman 1 (which you've already seen again recently, Kathleen) at Sheldon's house this Thursday. I'd also like to book an outing to Spiderman 2 for July 11, but we may have to duke it out amongst ourselves whether we should attend Spiderman or Far. 9/11 that day. Any comments, folks?
