Volunteers Needed: Campbell Highland Games, June 21 (public event)

The Campbell Highland Games is entering it's 30th year and we need your help!

We promote Celtic Heritage in a one day event that includes, Heavy Athletics, Field Athletics, Pipe Band competitions, Highland & Scottish Country Dancing, Classic Celtic Music, Celtic Vendors and a Clan Row where people can find out about there Celtic Roots.

We need over 200 volunteers to help the games run smoothly. We would love to have you help out. Individuals wanting to volunteer can help in these areas: ticket sales, selling concessions in our information booth, beer sales (checking id's selling drink tickets and of course pouring beer), assisting in our
children's area, Piping Area or with the athletes. We also need help on the Thursday & Friday before the games setting up the venue and Saturday evening & Sunday morning cleaning up.

Volunteers are required to work a minimum of two hours to gain free entry to the games. We are always happy to have you help for longer.

We can use individuals & group volunteers. If you are a school group or an individual needing community service hours our event is for you! Have fun while logging those hours.

No need to be Scottish, everyone is welcome!

All proceeds go to the organization to promote the tournament year in and year out. It is non-profit according to the organizers.

Hi! I'm the current Chieftain (Board President) of the Campbell Highland Games Association, the group that puts on this event each year. Just wanted to clarify that we are a 501c3 not-for-profit that exists solely for the purpose of putting on this event. No one on our small board of directors or any of our committee chairs gets paid anything for our services. All proceeds from the event go back into the running of the event. We do have a Celtic Scholarship fund which we disburse 2 times a year to applicants for Celtic studies. Applications for those scholarships are available on our website www.campbellgames.com

Each year we also invite other non-profits to have a booth at the event to pass out information.

We do rely on volunteers the week of the games to help them run smoothly. Without the help of these people the event would not be possible.

Thanks!
Deb Anderson, Chieftain
