BE CAREFUL IN LOS GATOS. FOR SOME REASON THEY THINK EVERYONE IS A CRIMINAL. THEY WILL PULL YOU OVER FOR NOTHING AND TRY TO JUSTIFY IT (GIVE YOU A FIX IT TIX OR ARREST YOU IF THEY CAN). DON'T GIVE LOS GATOS ANY OF YOUR BUSINESS UNTIL THIS PRACTICE STOPS. I HAVE BEEN PULLED OVER, MY ROOMMATE HAS BEEN PULLED OVER FIVE TIMES IN A MONTH, BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING ROBBERIES, SCREW THEM! I DRIVE AN OLDER CAR AND LOOK LIKE I DON'T BELONG, THEY PULL YOU OVER. MY LAST ONE WAS FOR NOT SIGNALING. GIVE ME A BREAK.

LOS GATOS, GET A CLUE. MAKE THEM PAY!

I can attest to a Los Gatos incident myself! Recently I was profiled and pulled over by 3 police and 3 rangers while riding my bike in Oak Meadow and Vasona parks.

Yikes. Is this a recent thing? Due to a chronic illness, I haven't driven in 5 months. But I used to drive in LG often as it's close to home and never had a problem. You would think being Asian and female I'm not as big of a target either. It's good to hear that some people have too much time on their hands! wink.gif But they did solve the Mark Achilli murder case (thanks to the shooter being a moron for throwing several pieces of evidence out the window of the moving getaway car.)

Joe, maybe you should write a letter to the editor of the Los Gatos paper and the Merc.

I heard from a fellow tennis player that they have caught some home robbery thieves. You have to be careful when you complain. I am working on it.

I sure hope everyone else has better experience with the police than I do but one more reason to complain:

I am helping my homeless friend move out from under his bridge. He came into some money and things are looking up for him. We can't take care of our business to retrieve his belongings because the police decide they are going to park a patrol car with a policeman at the entrance to the vacant lot that the homeless are using as access to the underpass of the bridge at 87 (near Julian). There is nothing here except the light rail tracks and weeds. The city has nothing better to do than hinder the coming and goings of homeless people. They can't go get lunch, assistance or in our case, clear their items out.

On the good side, I have seen the art of compassion. Sacred Heart on Monterrey/ Alma provides groceries (cooking or non-cooking) and clothes to the homeless. Some people take advantage of it like a chinese man that came in a $50K car. I could not believe he took an arm full of bread and tried to come back and do it again before I chased him off. The homeless are told to take a loaf each. He probably took six loafs and then came back for a second round. Stealing from the homeless, OMG.

Also I can't forget to mention St Joseph's downtown. They not only give the homeless a bag lunch everyday but have a social services office with a full time person that receives mail for the homeless and has a phone for them to use as well. It is so important for the homeless to have a mailing address. My friend got his tax refund checks, his disability documents and other very important mail. Thank you St Joseph.

When you need a charity to support, think of Sacred Heart and St Josephs, they help your fellow San Joseans who are down on their luck. Thank goodness for the both of them.

San Jose police ought to be ashamed of themselves. Help, ignore or get out of the way. The homeless have enough to worry about: eating, sleeping, staying alive.
