Uncertainty when adding photos

When a person adds photo(s) to an album, there is no indication that the process worked. It is disconcerting that after adding a photo & description, when you go to view the album, nothing is there! Very disconcerting...you don't know if all your efforts to submit photos worked or not.

I assume that added photos must be approved before they show up on the site, but some indication as to whether the photo(s) were successfully loaded along with a indication when one can expect to see them show up.
