Former SF Giants Pick Traded for 10 bats

This is hilarious. You always hear the joke about a player getting traded for a bag of balls, pucks, or some footballs, but it actually happened to a former SF Giants draft pick, John Odom. He got traded to Class-A Laredo Broncos of the United League from the Calgary Vipers of the Golden Baseball League. The terms of the trade? 10 Prairie Sticks Maple Bats, double-dipped black, 34-inch, C243 style valued at $69 each at retail.
