| July 2008's Featured Band at the monthly session of the South Bay Traditional Jazz Society - Uptown Lowdown Jazz Band

From left to right standing: Rose Marie Barr, Bert Barr, Tom Jacobus, Paul Hagglund, John Goodrich, Paul Woltz; Front: Al LaTourette Seattle's Uptown Lowdown Jazz Band was started in 1971 by Bert Barr. It has performed continuously since that time, now appearing at over 25 festivals and concerts annually throughout the United Stated and abroad. This seven piece band has a worldwide reputation having performed in Japan, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Mexico and Canada. Uptown Lowdown specializes in authentic sounding Dixieland jazz and ragtime. Their dueling bass sax solos are not to be missed!!
