Monsieur Beans presents The Faux Hawaiians (public event)

Monsieur Beans of Willow Glen presents The Faux Hawaiians! Come on down to listen to vintage Hawaiian music, hot jazz, and blues of the 1920s and 30s.

The Faux Hawaiians is a Bay Area-based quartet featuring Brad Bechtel (lap steel guitar), Erich Sylvester (ukelele), Jim Campbell (guitar, vocals), and Mike Billo (bass, vocals). The 1920s and 30s were a time of great social change and an equally great time of development for a wide variety of musical styles that have since cross-pollinated to produce much of today's music. This band tries to capture and re-create that era in their choice of acousitc instruments and the music they perform.
