Missing Person: Ross Abinanti (FOUND on 7/10)

Local resident Ross Abinanti, who suffers from dementia, has been missing since June 30, 2009. He was last seen in Downtown Campbell near 201 E Campbell Ave (between 2nd St and 3rd St). Ross is 5' 8" tall, and weighs 270 lbs. When last seen, he was wearing a gray shirt, khaki shorts, and a white baseball cap. He may seem confused and disoriented. It is imperative that he be found - he is unable to care for himself and needs his medication.

The family and the Campbell Police are asking residents to please keep an eye out for Ross, and to report any recent sightings to the Campbell Police immediately at 408-866-2101. They also ask local residents and business owners to check garages, sheds, and garbage dumpster areas as it may be that Ross wandered in unnoticed and remained there.

Any chance he could have been wearing a red polo, slightly darker khaki shorts with cargo pockets, ankle high white socks,and high top white tennis shoes with a black backpack, sunglasses, and watch on his left wrist? I saw someone with this description and build similar to ross' on capitol expwy at a bus stop between the baskin robbins street and snell on my way to work (going the opposite direction towards 87). There were ppl waiting for the bus as well and he caught their attention (not sure if they knew him or drew attention to himself), but maybe post a flyer at that bus stop?

Roos Abinanti has been found! He was found in good condition in Saratoga at 10pm on Friday night.

Glad he was found. I was dining at Hobee's in The Pruneyard a couple of weeks ago when I saw a large group of people walking by with signs looking for him. I think it was a good way to draw attention to the cause.
