Peninsula Pilates Project
Peninsula Pilates Project (PPP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to providing Pilates training as post-rehabilitative treatment for those recovering from debilitating illnesses, regardless of their ability to pay. The mission of PPP is to improve the quality of life for our community by teaching, motivating, and encouraging our students to achieve their ultimate movement potential. PPP inspires wellness and balance of the body, mind, and spirit.
We currently offer two restorative programs, one for people recovering from cancer, and another for those facing movement disorders or other debilitating illnesses. Our classes are adaptive to all levels of experience and abilities, and no prior Pilates experience is necessary. Participants are typically referred to PPP by local oncologists, neurologists, radiologists, physical therapists, and hospital outreach programs, however a referral is not obligatory to participate in PPP’s programs.
Since its inception in 2012, PPP has seen over 150 men and women complete its restorative Pilates classes, with incredible testaments to physical improvements, confidence, and hopefulness. PPP is committed to maximizing each individual’s physical and emotional recovery, no matter which stage they are in their lives.
