We know that street parking on Lighthouse Avenue in Monterey can be challenging. The great news is that there's a public parking garage located at 601 Foam Street (between Hoffman and Prescott), a short walk from all your favorite Lighthouse District shops and restaurants!
After 4pm, parking in the Foam Street Garage is free for residents whose zip code begins in 939 (just show the attendant your driver's license). During the day, Monterey residents with a one-year parking decal from the City (only $10) can enjoy 2 hours of free parking per day.
Not a local resident? No problem! The Foam Street Garage offers parking for a flat, daily rate. Depending on the season (and the demand), the daytime rate will vary from $8 to $18. In the evenings, that rate will drop, usually as low as $5.
The City of Monterey offers all people with a valid disabled person's placard or license plate a 50% discount off the posted parking rate at the Foam Street ("Cannery Row") Garage. More information on Monterey parking for people with disabilities can be found here.
At Montrio Bistro we're proud to offer tasty, zero-alcohol drink options, also known as "mocktails." Pictured here is the Gordon Gecko, made with passion fruit, coconut, lime, and ginger. Delicious! Visit us at 414 Calle Principal in Downtown Old Monterey and try one.
