Code NInjas is happy to announce our newest program, Code Ninjas JR., for grades K-2. Our innovative new partnership with codeSpark® is specialized for kids as young as 5 years old to be introduced to programming concepts, hands on STEM activities, and problem solving. Your child will have a blast working alongside our Code Senseis and peers in our dojo, building confidence and valuable new skill sets.

We will be offering classes on Saturdays, 12pm-1pm and 1pm-2pm, beginning October 5, 2019. The introductory session has limited space, so be sure to contact us soon for more information and to register, 831-200-3924. We're located at 469 Pacific Street in Downtown Old Monterey.

Monterey County Youth Museum is in desperate need of books for our children's lending library! Please consider cleaning out your kids' bookshelf and bringing in your gently loved children's books to share with another family. We're located at 425 Washington Street in Downtown Old Monterey.

Monterey State Historic Park is currently seeking new volunteers! Do you enjoy California History? Would you like to learn more about Monterey’s historic adobes? Do you enjoy meeting people from all around the world? If so, volunteering at Monterey State Historic Park is a great place for you!

We are currently looking for people who:

*Like helping children learn about California History and can participate in our “Hands-On” school programs for 3rd and 4th-grade students.

*Resonate with the writings of famed Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson and can help keep the Stevenson House Museum open on Saturday afternoons, April through October each year.

Volunteer benefits include: quarterly volunteer socials, discounts at the Historic Park stores, and discounted tickets for Monterey State Historic Park (MSHPA) events. (Note: volunteers handle cash, work around historic collections, and instruct children. All volunteers are required to pass a LiveScan background check before assuming their duties.)
