The added eucalyptus oil also provides antibacterial benefits.

Shelley, the local aesthetician who designed this product, recommends it for use on insect bites and to spot treat pimples at night after using moisturizer. Available now online. A small, locally-owned business, Shelley Bennett Skincare is located at 588 Houston Street in Downtown Old Monterey.

Have you submitted your nominations for Citizen and Business of the Year?

Who do you know that gave their all and then some in 2021 to the Campbell community? What about a local business that stepped up to give back and provide support?

We want to hear about these amazing individuals and companies.

Below are links to nomination forms. Let us know who should be in the running. The deadline to nominate is Monday, January 31st.

You may have remembered that the City of Campbell had previously voted to end the Downtown Campbell Parklet Program on January 3rd. It was supposed to be that on this date the program would either be replaced by a permanent plan based on the original parklet program or would end entirely.

Well, then this hyper-transmissible Omicron thing happened. I'm sure you need no introduction to that. Long story short, in a special session, the Campbell City Council voted to extend the Downtown Campbell Parklets Program an additional 90 days. This means that all of the outdoor dining options you've come to expect will continue to be around until at least early April.

California State Mask Mandate Extended to February 15

Posted on January 7th, 2022 by lighthouseave

The State of California has extended its indoor mask mandate through at least February 15, 2022. This is in light of the fact that California’s 7-day average of daily new Covid-19 cases almost doubled between December 31 and January 5. In other words: the omicron variant is here and it is very busy.

Please wear a high-quality mask over your nose and mouth and stay safe, everyone. You can find information on where to get Covid vaccines and boosters in Monterey County here.

Rest assured that all our Lighthouse District businesses remain open, and many offer options for people wishing to be more cautious, including take-out service from restaurants and curbside pick-up and shipping from many retail shops.

A special thanks from all of us to all of you - our valued customers and friends - for continuing to support our local, family-owned businesses!
