Monterey Firefighters: Wildfire Victims Relief Fund

Posted on August 22nd, 2020 by lighthouseave

The current threat from the wildfires burning in Monterey County is unprecedented and the need of Monterey County residents is huge. Now through September 5, 2020, Monterey Firefighters are collecting donations of cash and gift cards to distribute quickly, and directly, to families impacted by the fires.

Monterey Firefighters have set up a Go Fund Me page for financial donations. They are also accepting donations of gift cards from stores such as Target, Walmart, Safeway, or Lucky's, at all of the fire stations in the City of Monterey. New Monterey's Fire Station No. 12 is located at 582 Hawthorne Street.

Although it's unbelievable that we are now facing these fires at the same time our families are being impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, it's the difficult reality for all of us. We will survive this, but if it's possible to lend some help to our neighbors at the same time, we know it will be greatly appreciated.

For more information, please e-mail Monterey Firefighter Raul Pantoja.
