Paper Wing Theatre Company presents Nunsense, a musical comedy that's fun for all ages. Performances are scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm, May 8-24 at our Lighthouse District theatre.

While they were off playing bingo with a group of Maryknoll Sisters, 5 of the surviving Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, accidentally killed 52 residents of the convent with her tainted vichyssoise. With the deceased nuns on ice in the deep freeze, the 5 decide to stage a variety show in the Mount Saint Helen's School auditorium to raise the necessary amount to pay for the burials. Among them are Mother Superior Mary Regina, a former circus performer who can not resist the spotlight; Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is determined to be the world's first ballerina nun; and wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.

Full of singing, dancing and plenty of comedy, this wildly popular musical, which opened in 1985, became the second-longest-running Off-Broadway show in history.
