Announcing "Get Into Your Sanctuary" Weekend!

As a destination for ocean recreation, few places on the planet can compete with the diversity of Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary! MBNMS is participating in 'Get Into Your Sanctuary' by celebrating sanctuaries, tourism, conservation, and on-the-water recreational activities during the last weekend in June. MBNMS staff will conduct outreach, host events, and use social media during the month of June to raise awareness of sanctuaries as iconic destinations for recreation and tourism, and promote corresponding events slated to occur over the weekend of June 27-28th, 2015. To encourage public use & enjoyment of national marine sanctuaries, we are asking people and businesses to share their experience via social media using the hashtag: #visitsanctuaries
