Monterey Museum of Art Lecture: Meaning Made Visible

The Monterey Museum of Art presents a lecture by Jerry Takigawa entitled Meaning Made Visible on Monday, November 27 at 1pm. Admission is free for members, all others must pay museum's general admission fee to attend lecture.

Designer and fine art photographer Jerry Takigawa has been working in the visual arts for 48 years. Meaning is a critical ingredient of successful design and fine art photography. Through a survey of personal design projects and fine art photographs, Takigawa will share the creative process surrounding the creation of his work.

Jerry Takigawa has been a designer and fine art photographer since 1969. Takigawa received a BFA, with an emphasis in painting, from San Francisco State University in 1967. He studied photography under Don Worth. In 1982, he became the first photographer to receive the Imogen Cunningham Award for color photography. His work is in many public and private collections. Takigawa lives and works in Carmel Valley and has a studio on Cannery Row.
