Rags Rosenberg at East Village Coffee Lounge
This event has already passed
East Village Coffee Lounge and Kiki Wow present an evening of live music featuring the talented traveling troubadour Rags Rosenberg on Saturday, January 18, 7pm-9pm. Donations are appreciated.
Rags Rosenberg calls his music “mythopoetic folk,” a road-tested brand of Americana and modern ballads in the vein of Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Tom Waits, built from the miles he’s traveled and the people he's met.
A published poet with one poetry collection, three EPs, and an album to his name, he has logged time in Tujunga, California (born and raised), Atlanta (where he founded the regional chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association), Nashville (where he co-wrote songs with Grammy winner Lynn Langham and many others), and most recently, Joshua Tree.
Now at 72, Rags lives in a 16-foot trailer that he hauls to the roadhouses, house concerts, and festivals where he’s finding the audience for his music the old-fashioned way. Join him in this grand adventure.
