Enjoy a screening of the documentary film “Water’s Edge” about the life, career and creative process of renowned fine art photographer Arthur Tress on Friday, October 10, 7pm-9pm at Stanton Center.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Arthur Tress led by Ann Jastrab (Executive Director, Center for Photographic Art) and the documentary's director, Stephen B. Lewis.

About Arthur Tress
Dynamic and humorous, 84-year-old Arthur Tress is mostly known for staged surrealism photography, but he also excels in street, urban exploration, landscape, and other genres. His work appears in museum collections around the world.
About the Film
The gorgeous 80-minute documentary Water's Edge, directed by Stephen B. Lewis, premiered in 2023 at The Getty Center in connection with a retrospective of Tress’s early work at The Getty.
This event is presented by The Monterey History and Art Association and the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel.
