Monterey Public Library Friends & Foundation presents the 21st Annual Chocolate & Wine Benefit at Monterey County Library for ages 21 and over.

Celebrate with chocolate, wine, beer, savory snacks, live music, and a silent auction at the library. Tickets are $75 - purchase here . Proceeds will benefit Monterey Public Library.

Monterey Peninsula Pride is thrilled our annual LGBTQ+ Pride Celebration and Parade will return to Downtown Old Monterey on Saturday, July 15.

The opening parade will begin at 11am, going down Alvarado Street from Pearl Street to Franklin Street. Then, at Custom House Plaza, 12pm-3pm, bring the whole family to shop and eat from a variety of local vendors and enjoy a lineup of queer entertainers including our endlessly talented emcees Rogue Roulette and Khloe QuarterPounder.

Performers and speakers Saturday afternoon will include: Diversity Celebration with Quazar, Grand Marshal Tyller Williamson, Golden & Olga, Xinistra, Paul Richmond, Helixir, WooWoo Monroe, Glodean Champion, and GoldenLuca Oake.

The City of Monterey wants to hear from you! The City is gathering feedback from a variety of stakeholders that will help shape the final version of its Economic Development Strategy, slated to be presented in early 2027.

If you are age 18 or older, please consider taking this 8-10 minute survey to give the City of Monterey government your opinions. This includes residents, business owners, people who work here, and local students. The survey will close on December 31 .
