Birding in the Guadalupe River Park
This event has already passed
This year, Guadalupe River Park Conservancy is taking part in the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory’s Fall Challenge supporting avian conservation! Come out and support a great cause while learning about the diverse population of birds that live in our park.
The Guadalupe River flows from the Santa Cruz Mountains through Downtown San Jose and to San Francisco Bay, serving as a wildlife corridor through which birds forage for a wide variety of food. The Guadalupe River Park and Gardens in San Jose is home to a large number of bird species year-round and serves as a rest stop for migrant birds. Join local naturalist Greg Kerekes in a three-hour bird watching adventure along the river and through the gardens. No prior birding experience needed; experienced birders can reinforce their knowledge and help newcomers.
Event fee is a $50 donation to San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory. For more information and to register, please visit the SFBBO guided trip webpage.
