Poetry Center San Jose presents the Well-Red Poetry reading Series, featuring Amy MacLennan and Kimberly Escamilla at Works / San Jose on Wednesday, April 16 at 7pm. Admission is a $2 suggested donation, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Amy MacLennan grew up on the peninsula south of San Francisco and she now makes her home in Oregon's Rogue Valley. Her chapbook, Weathing, was published in 2012 by Uttered Chaos Press and her work has appeared in the anthology Myrrh, Mothwing, Smoke: Erotic Poems (Tupelo Press, 2013). She is currently the Managing Editor of The Cortland Review.
Kimberly Escamilla’s recent work has appeared in Red Wheelbarrow, Plath Profiles, and The Huffington Post. She has taught college-level writing and literature in the San Francisco Bay Area for 20 years and is the director of The International Poetry Library of San Francisco. She lives on the coast, a few miles north of Half Moon Bay.
