We help families raising children live better lives. A key focus is to help local children access early learning resources to be successful. At United Way Silicon Valley, we envision a community where every child has the opportunity to achieve their dreams. We know that a quality education is the key to a successful career, particularly in this knowledge-based economy. But the educational crisis continues

• The academic achievement gap is leaving too many local children behind.
• The gap begins even before kindergarten.
• Many of the families we serve don’t have the resources to provide a quality preschool experience for their children.

Early childhood literacy programs help children develop the skills they need to read proficiently and learn. That’s why United Way Silicon Valley is focused on providing early childhood literacy programs for all children. But we can’t do this alone. We need your help.
