This event has already passed
Poetry Center San Jose presents the Well-Red Poetry Reading Series at Works/San Jose! Tonight we'll be hearing readings by Maria Garcia Teutsch and Tim Tomasi. Admission is a suggested donation of $2, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Maria Garcia Teutsch is a poet and editor. She has published over 20 journals of poetry as editor-in-chief of the Homestead Review, published by Hartnell College in Salinas, and Ping-Pong journal of art and literature, published by the Henry Miller Library in Big Sur, California. Her most recent chapbooks are entitled Chronicles on Violence and Pussy. Her poetry looks for lyricism and sensual flavor in our daily moments.
Tim Tomasi is a retired physician who lives in San Jose. He works primarily in a formal manner, having a love for meter and rhyme, but is not averse to free verse and other modern poetic forms and methods. He is currently finalizing a new translation of the Vietnamese epic poem, The Tale of Kieu.
