In honor of Halloween, the City of Monterey presents a free Trunk-or-Treat and Movie in the Park on the lawn of Colton Hall.

The walk-through trunk-or-treat will be held 5pm-6:30pm. Our feature film, Scooby-Doo (2002), will begin at 6:30pm. Come dressed in costume! There will be food trucks, fire engines, kids' activities, and more.

On Monday, October 2, International Market & Deli will celebrate the U.N.'s International Day of Nonviolence. In front of the market, enjoy samples of delicious food from around the world, 2pm-3pm, and a demonstration of Iraqi cooking, 3pm-4pm.

A local, family-run business, International Market and Deli is known for being a warm and welcoming space for people from all around the world, young and old. Full of good cheer, this little market wants to share a message of peace and tolerance on this special day. Food is the thing that brings us all together!

The Green Craft Club invites you to join us at Play Full Ground to make custom friendship bracelets with beads, charms, and ribbon on Sunday, August 10 at 2pm.

Open to all ages (younger children may need adult assistance). Register here. Fee is $15 for 1 bracelet, $20 for 2 bracelets, and $10 for an additional sibling to attend.

Monterey Recreation and Monterey Firefighters Community Foundation present a Trunk-or-Treat and Movie in the Park on Saturday, October 22 on the lawn of Colton Hall. This family-friendly event is free.

Come dressed in costume to trunk-or-treat, 5pm-6:30pm, when we'll have fire engines and activities for kids. The screening of the Disney film Hocus Pocus will begin at 7pm. Free popcorn and cotton candy available.

MY Museum is hosting a free COVID-19 and flu vaccination clinic for everyone ages 2 and up, 3pm-6pm. The museum will have activities and fun music for participating families. Vaccinations are FREE and no insurance is required.

We recommend you register in advance here , but it's not required - walk-ups will be assisted on a first-come, first-served basis. All children must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver over the age of 18.

All ages are welcome to join an English high tea with petit sandwiches, scones with Devonshire cream, and hot tea prepared in the English style at Casa Serrano. All proceeds will benefit Monterey History and Art Association and this historic adobe building. Tickets are $82 - purchase here .

The Lighthouse District is hosting a free outdoor screening of the fun, all-ages comedy School of Rock (2003) starring Jack Black.

The film will be shown at 7:30pm in front of Scholze Park Community Center. You're welcome to come early and bring a picnic. Remember to dress warmly and bring blankets and/or chairs. No pets or alcohol.
