For nearly four years, the Campbell Library has been closed for renovations. It was originally scheduled to reopen in 2025, but the reopening had to be pushed back. We've taken a good look at the new Campbell Library and all we can say the wait will have been worth it.
The new Library is a gorgeous facility that's been re-imagined with the kind of amenities needed for a modern library to serve its community as a public resource and nexus of community interaction. It has multiple lounge areas with plenty of natural light, semi-private booth spaces, a separate children's library with a play area, a teen and young adult area, a wired up community meeting room, laptops that can be checked out, and more. Libraries have evolved in the current digital age and the newly reinvented Campbell Library is a stellar example of the library of the next 50 years.
I had the chance to do a sneak peek photoshoot during their preparations for their grand reopening on May 9, 2026. I've added some photos taken during the reconstruction of the library at the end followed by a few shots of what it used to look like.
