Musicians, check this out! The Monterey Music Store now has in stock a 5-string Wing Bass. Come and visit us at 425 Alvarado Street in Old Monterey.

The 5-string Wing Bass is extremely light and portable. The instrument was born from the idea that you don’t really need the first 11 frets of a bass in order to practice or play when you travel. The only differences between this instrument and a full sized bass are portability and tuning (the Wing is tuned one octave higher – the equivalent of playing the twelfth fret and above). The Wing Bass uses standard strings and gauges as well as standard string spacing so your technique-building exercises can be retained when you return to your main bass.

Our friends at the Home Church are participating in a special honor on February 9th. They're hosting a "Prom Night" event that's organized every year by the Tim Tebow Foundation. The event is Night to Shine and it's a night for those with special needs to walk the red carpet and receive VIP treatment for a night.

Watch the video below and learn more about this unique and moving event. If you want to help, the event is in need of all kinds of youth and adult volunteers to help coordinate the event, provide services, and create the ambience to make the evening one to remember.

If you're unable to volunteer, monetary donations will also help make the event a success, so if you have the means to do so, please contact Night to Shine Silicon Valley through their website at the link below.

We're in the news again! KPIX TV reports that this holiday season "many people (shop in places like Downtown Campbell) not only for the goods, but for the experience." We couldn't have said it any better. When our mom and pops chose to land in Downtown Campbell, most of them did so because they wanted to be a part of the community. We're not just a bunch of stores. We're part of what makes your neighborhood the place that it is. Thank you KPIX CBS San Francisco Bay Area for the coverage and thank you to all of our friends for shopping local and supporting us! We hope your holidays have been bright and take a look at this 2-minute story that features our very own REDEMPTION and Therapy!

Shopping malls are struggling with the continued rise of online shopping but according to Bloomberg mom-and-pop businesses have outpaced the big chain stores. (12-22-17)
