Yoga Class for Men at Union Yoga

Posted on January 29th, 2018 by Union Yoga

Union Yoga, located at 244 Pearl Street in Old Monterey, is excited to announce that we're now offering Yoga for Men on Tuesdays, 7:45pm-8:45pm. Taught by Kelli Nairn, this is a Level 1-1.5 class that's great for beginners, cyclists, golfers, construction workers, and visitors. We focus on the areas that tend to be tight in men and build flexibility, as well as areas that tend to be weak and build strength. As one of our regular attendees said recently, “Classes at Union Yoga help me wake up pain-free in the morning.”

We are so proud to say that our very own Kelly Crowley was just named by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce as Campbell's Citizen of the Year for 2018! This is a very big deal. It's the highest honor that could be bestowed upon those who have shown dedication to making the Campbell area community one that people look up to. It's an award that acknowledges that your generosity, dedication, and love for those around you was critical in making Campbell the place that it is today. It means that you are more than just a member of this culture. You are an ingredient of the culture.

Indeed Kelly has been an ingredient of Campbell for a long time. She's been a part of the Downtown Campbell crew for over 20 years in a variety of roles. She is currently a board member of the Downtown Campbell Business Association (the owners of this Facebook Page) and the General Manager of Khartoum. As a board member, she is involved in organizing and planning many of the increasingly popular events happening in Downtown Campbell. We'd list them, but it'll just be a list of almost everything we do. As Khartoum's General Manager she is not only running a successful business, but also one that is always ready to host a fundraiser and pitch in to support important causes in the community.

We are so proud, Kelly! Well done and well deserved!

This photo was taken at last year's Celebrate Campbell Dinner at Villa Ragusa where Kelly was named the Downtown Campbell Business Association's person of the year, which was already a very nice honor in its own right. If you want to celebrate Kelly and other cornerstones of the Campbell Community, join us at the Celebrate Campbell Awards Dinner in March!

If all goes well, it's just weeks away from coming back as Boiler Maker and if you want to know if the Bearnaise Burger will still be on the menu, you'll have to mail me an envelope full of cash!

Just kidding. Please put the money back, ok? I don't know. We're all gonna have to wait to find out.

I am Casey Aguilar, the owner of Monterey Bay Food Tours, the first and only walking food tour in Monterey.

If you are not familiar with a walking food tour, it is a great way to visit multiple unique local eateries and restaurants sampling their specialties at a leisurely pace, with the convenience of pre-planning and coordination by a local tour guide. My customers will have a unique experience that they would not have if they were to visit these restaurants on their own. This could be anything from sitting somewhere special, taking a kitchen tour, talking with the owner or chef, a visit from a wine maker, to eating something that is not on the menu. Monterey Bay Food Tours is committed to sharing a passion for food in a fun and creative environment and strive to provide exceptional customer service and an unforgettable experience. Our tours are great for locals and tourist alike. Every time I do a tour with locals, they always discover something new!

The Old Monterey tours are open to the public through on-line booking and will accommodate up to 12 people. The Old Monterey Tour is approximately three hours and will take you to 5-6 different restaurants and eateries on the side streets of Downtown Monterey and Fisherman’s Wharf, spending about 25 minutes at each stop. You will taste the different cultural influences that have made Monterey what it is today. Your tour guide will also tell you some fun facts about the Monterey Bay area.

I am currently working with restaurants and eateries in New Monterey to offer a one of a kind tour with some of Monterey's finest.

We also offer custom and private tours. We can customize tours to meet your needs. Working with a specific budget? Want an all seafood tour? Want a stop at a local cigar shop to browse cigars, local wines, scotch, and beers? Want an all vegetarian tour? Want 3, 5, or 7 restaurants and all beer, wine, cocktails, or nonalcoholic beverages at each stop? Contact us so we can put together your unique experience.
