From the City of Monterey: City of Monterey street crews are searching for potholes with the help of Monterey residents. January through March is typically the busiest season for pothole repairs, due to wet weather and cold temperatures. Over 600 potholes have been filled this year so far.
Potholes are the result of rain infiltrating the soil beneath the roads. Over time, the water can cause the material under the pavement to erode, causing the pavement to sink and break. Traffic loosens the pavement even more, and it eventually crumbles and pops out.
Pothole patching is a temporary repair, intended to minimize damage to vehicles and prevent further deterioration of the street. To report a pothole, please call 831-646-3927.

Ma's Green Living will be closing on April 30, so they're clearing things out this month. They have started to sell some small display items as well as mark down all the products in the store. As the month progresses, they will be putting larger displays on sale.
You can check Ma's Facebook photo album to get a sense of what's still in stock, and keep checking back as they add more items. They'll be open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 10am-6pm; Saturdays 12:30am-5pm; and Sundays 10am-3pm.
Where is the best dining value in Silicon Valley? How about the best sushi restaurant? If you want the top rated burger in all of the South Bay, where do you go and if you want to take some out of town family out for some Greek food that they'll tell everyone back home about, what's your spot?
Well, according to Metro Magazine's annual Best of Silicon Valley 2016 reader's picks, if you're looking for the best, Downtown Campbell can hook you up in a big way. Our eateries and retailers left a mark by hauling in around two dozen awards and runner up mentions.
Congratulations to all of our winners and thank you, thank you, thank you from all of us in Downtown Campbell to all of you out there who showed us some love with your votes.

In Spa on the Plaza’s continued effort to operate as a green business, we are constantly looking at ways to become more environmentally friendly and more energy efficient. Being a green business, we consider the environment in how we operate the business, as well as the products we use in our treatments and feature in our retail space.
Most recently, we’ve updated all of our lighting to a lower energy option, utilizing LED bulbs and fixtures. In our retail and salon areas, we are quite proud to have removed all cosmetics from the spa that are not approved by the Environmental Working Group’s cosmetic safety database.
In other updates and renovations, we now are featuring new salon reclining chairs to relax in, as well as a new pedicure chair with water foot chamber and a new manicure table. All linens are new, and upgrades are constantly being implemented in our treatment rooms, including equipment to allow for hot towels. All session tables are now electrically heated featuring new colored linens with unique table sashes. We also added decorative shells that can also be used to hold jewelry or other items not removed prior to the appointment, so personal items are not forgotten in robes and free the body for better bodywork.
We are also quite proud to feature new facial equipment including: microcurrent galvanic machines, microdermabrasion machines, high frequency machines, oxygen machine, and LED light therapy machines.
And last but not least is our beautiful new flooring and fresh paint, as well as the renovation of our private relaxation area! Now a warmer and brighter bleached oak, this new flooring complements the soothing and calming design elements of the spa.
We look forward to sharing our updates and renovation with our clients, and look forward to seeing you for an amazing spa day!
